Bristol, Tenn. (June 2024) — Dominion Senior Living of Bristol is pleased to announce that Lori Goodman has joined the team as Executive Director. With over 20 years of experience in skilled nursing and long-term care, Goodman is a welcome addition to the team.
Originally from Princeton, West Virginia, Goodman attended East Tennessee State University, receiving her bachelor’s in healthcare administration. Goodman began her career as an Assistant Administrator and later took the Administrator role at a skilled nursing facility. From 2017-2021, Goodman served as COO and Executive Director at a nursing and rehabilitation center and has spent the last three years as a Regional Director of Operations at a health care consulting company.
Throughout her career, Goodman has strived to provide compassionate and personalized care to residents with Alzheimer’s or dementia. She seeks to enhance quality of life through engaging activities, fostering a safe and supportive environment and offering emotional support to both residents and families.
“I hope to lead by example, demonstrating empathy, integrity and a strong commitment to the well-being of residents. I aim to foster a supportive and collaborative environment where staff feel valued and motivated to provide exceptional care,” said Goodman.
“We are exceptionally grateful for Lori Goodman’s compassionate leadership and interpersonal skills. Her level of attention to the quality of life of our residents goes above and beyond as she seeks to bring dignity and fun to the residents’ golden years,” states Doug Veazey, COO of Dominion Senior Living.
Goodman finds challenges to be the “spice of life”, and she applies that philosophy to her personal life as well. Willing to take risks, Goodman has gone on adventures that include skydiving, hang gliding and parasailing. While she loves a good thrill, Goodman mostly loves to spend tranquil days on the lake and time with her family and friends.
