Dominion Senior Living of Bristol Donate $8000 to Support Hurricane Relief Efforts in East Tennessee
Bristol, Tenn. (Nov. 2024) — Dominion Senior Living of Bristol donated $8000 to local non-profits in support of hurricane relief efforts. The damage caused by Hurricane Helene is still impacting families in East Tennessee, having displaced many from homes and jobs and creating desperate financial and material demand. Seeing the impact first-hand, Dominion Senior Living of Bristol decided to raise and donate $8000, in cooperation with Dominion Senior Living of Johnson City and Everlan Senior Living of Johnson City, to benefit their neighboring communities.
After much thought and prayer, Dominion Senior Living chose to support Second Harvest Food Bank and Samaritan’s Purse, both with $4000 donations. Second Harvest Food Bank has the capability of stretching a dollar into four meals, and their impact has been immense in East Tennessee. Likewise, Samaritan’s Purse is well-equipped and knowledgeable in guiding those who are suffering from natural disasters.
The checks were given to both non-profits on November 6th by the Executive Director of Dominion Senior Living of Johnson City, Carla Dunn, General Manager of Everlan of Johnson City, Ava Foster, and Executive Director of Dominion Senior Living of Bristol, Lori Goodman.
